ISA Art Gallery presents “The Wrath of Earth” a solo retrospective exhibition from the
internationally acclaimed Indonesian artist, Arahmaiani. The exhibition will open on 3rd August at
ISA Art Gallery, Wisma 46, Jakarta, Indonesia.
Arahmaiani, a distinguished artist born in Bandung, has exhibited her work extensively within
Indonesia and internationally, including in Australia, Italy, Germany, France, Malaysia, Thailand,
England, the Netherlands, Austria, Denmark, Singapore, the Unit
ed States, Turkey, Israel, Brazil,
Canada, Japan, Korea, the Philippines, Myanmar, and several countries in the Middle East.
Recognized among the foremost female artists in Indonesia, Arahmaiani's oeuvre has been
widely analyzed and documented in various media and scholarly publications, and her digital
footprint is both extensive and accessible.
Arahmaiani is a versatile artist, engaging in painting, installation art, performance art, and dance,
as well as authoring several books of poetry. Additionally, she is known for her activism in social,
political, and environmental spheres, advocating for
gender equality and pluralism
