Entitled "Taru Bingin," derived from the Balinese term for the Banyan Tree—a revered plant in Bali—this exhibition captures the interconnectedness and breadth of Balinese art and culture. Like the Banyan Tree, contemporary Balinese artists skillfully integrate past and present elements, giving rise to fresh artistic expressions that honor their rich cultural heritage. The exhibition encompasses various artistic mediums, including painting, sculpture, installation, video, and performance, and features artists from diverse backgrounds and generations. Artists such as Arie Smit, Chusin Setiadikara, Dabi Arnasa, Didin Jirot, Gede Mahendra Yasa, I GAK Murniasih, I Nyoman Darya, Ines Katamso, Jemana Murti, Kevin Jordanus, Made Wiguna Valasara, Sinta Tantra, and Victoria Kosasie contribute their unique perspectives to this collection. Their artworks explore themes and subjects, ranging from pressing social concerns to intimate personal experiences and emotions.
